IX Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace

IX Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace is a bilingual state secondary school established in response to the needs of teenagers living in Rzeszów and its suburbs. Our school is the first state school in the city authorized by the International Baccalaureate and enables students to pursue the  IB Diploma Programme.

The school was established in 1990 as the youngest primary school and converted into middle school nine years later. As a result of the last reform the school became a secondary school with bilingual classes which offers students a wide range of foreign languages to learn – English, Spanish, French and German as well as extra activities.

Thanks to our lifetime experience in education, effective teaching methods we successfully increase students’ knowledge and help them achieve the highest exam results. Our mission is to educate independent, creative and responsible people in social, environmental and cultural life. The school helps the students built their own identities based on respect for their national heritage and also for the representatives of different cultures. Our aim is to prepare students to become active and compassionate adults who contribute to the creation of a better and more peaceful world.

To develop internationally minded people the school leads continuous cooperation with international and local associations which facilitates to recognise their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet.
